Course Description

The Telehealth Provider Role course is designed to provide practical application for the Telehealth Provider or a Trainer/Consultant implementing telehealth in a healthcare organization. The learner can expect to be able to perform or train the duties of this role after the successful completion of this course.

1. Discuss clinical expectations and items that need to be prepared and reviewed prior to a telehealth visit
2. Start a telehealth appointment, share screen, pass controls to staff, join and/or leave a telehealth appointment
3. Virtual triage and document staff expectations and communication
4. Work successfully in the telehealth appointment and EMR, while charting
5. Remain HIPAA compliant when communicating with staff that is working from different locations, while hosting a telehealth visit
6. Discuss common issues that occur during a telehealth visit and how to resolve them
7. List HIPAA considerations items when conducting a telehealth visit
8. List decision points every organization must make regarding the Clinical/Provider roles and their responsibilities
